They are exactly what I needed to stop my husband, who has dementia, from turning up the thermostats and starting the pellet stove. We already had 2 incidents of smoke filling the room. These were the perfect solution.

My family constantly fiddled with the thermostat. One moment too hot, next too cold. Up, down, wup, down. I got tired of it and bought this two-fer pair. Easy and quick to attach to a home wall to lock the access to a thermostat. Four holes in the drywall to hold it in place, and you're done.DOWNSIDE:1. To change the temperature, you need the key to open the box---unless, of course, you have a thermostat that is accessible online through a wifi link [like me].2. Although made of clear plastic, they are evident to a guest--- who might wonder why this place needs to secure its thermostats. [ANS: when house guests are visiting, I just unlock the box.]
