3 stars — perfectly adequate, but overpriced for a couple of pieces of plasticOn the plus side, these are cheaper than similar items (two for ~$9) and they get the job done. They'll hold just about anything long and it's trivial to adjust the length. Despite the price, they stay closed, even after getting jostled or falling off the counter.However, the tubes can be annoying to work with. There's no truly "flat" side, so the sections tend to roll. And you can only side-load them (because, again, they don't have a flat side).My goal was to find something that could hold reusable straws and chopsticks (or other utensils) and they are too wide for that. However, they do work well for storing my silicone baking mats: those roll up nicely inside the tubes and stay clean and take up less room, where space is at a premium.

These are really great, easy to use and versatile. I use twp for drawing pencils and ink pens, my partner uses the other two for crochet hooks and lacing needles. I would highly recommend these.
