I have no clue what this heating stick is supposed to be for. One review stated it was for warming an adult toy, while another suggested it was to warm liquids in a cup. There is included in the box two ceramic "sticks" that are supposed to absorb moisture. I don't get it. The packaging doesn't suggest any uses for this device, except that it's a hand warmer, but it shuts off and doesn't really get all that hot. Again, I don't get it!!

In my test, I heated up a toy by simply plugging the heater into a USB outlet. After a few minutes the heater turned off and the toy was the perfect temperature. So I would say that it worked as expected and intended. As an experiment, I decided to hold the heater in my hand along with a thermometer until it was finished and I could see that it shut off almost exactly at 99 degrees and never got too hot to touch. Overall, this is a great device for heating a toy. I also tried the included drying sticks and they worked as expected as well. I'd say they are a good value for the money. They might also make good hand warmers for winter excursions.

I'd never seen this type of beverage warmer, and it got me to thinking, "I could use this little device to heat up other things!" I decided to cram it into a toy to see what happens. It heats up fairly quickly. I didn't want to leave it plugged in and unattended for too long, so I plugged it in for 30 minutes. No lights were on when I checked it, so I'm assuming it shut off. The inside of the toy was plenty warm in primarily the center. However, the heat is very shortlived. I'm not sure if that's normal or if it's due to the toy material. It's just a lot to deal with for less than a minute of warmth. The warmer comes in a nice sealed foil package. The drying sticks were in shrinkwrap inside of bubble wrap. The warmer and sticks were all inside a resealable plastic bag.

Gets hot pretty quickly. Not too hot as to burn though. I wish the cord was a little longer.

The USB heating stick kit from ASSTK works well. The kit includes two drying sticks, each individually shrink-wrapped and the pair protected with bubble wrap. While I didn’t use the warming stick as a beverage warmer, I did use it as a warmer for an adult toy. I think this usage matches the claimed "Human Body Temperature" suggestion of the ManMiao warmer. The USB A power cable is about 29 inches long and connects to the heater. There’s an internal LED that alternates between green and red when heating, and it seems to turn off once the device reaches its target temperature. I plugged the warmer into a 2 Amp, 5 Volt wall adapter and used an IR temperature probe to measure the heater after 10 minutes. The thinner middle portion reached up to 134°F, while the thicker ends were around 124°F. Though warmer than body temperature, it wasn’t uncomfortable to handle. After inserting the heater into a large silicone toy for 20 minutes, I measured the body of the removed warmer at 111°F, which was much closer to body temperature. I wouldn’t recommend leaving the heater in for extended periods, especially since some toy materials can deform, but for shorter use, it works well at bringing the toy with more thermal mass close to a realistic temperature. I measured the USB power draw at 1.2 Amps at 5.1 Volts, which is reasonable for a heating device and unlikely to stress most power sources.I didn't have any stiff cardboard protection around the bubble wrapped drying sticks, which might be a safer method of protection, but the kit came with the warming stick that does somewhat mitigate bending stress (although the warming stick wasn't inside the bubble wrap so it could become a pressure point under the right circumstances). The sticks helped absorb moisture after cleaning just fine. The kit lacks clear English instructions, likely because it’s marketed as a beverage warmer. I also noticed the silkscreen printing on the warmer is quickly rubbing off, which wouldn’t be ideal if it were used for beverages.
