My third brake light started to "strobe" when I applied the brake and I think there was a short in one of the LEDs. It was just wiser to replace the whole unit versus futzing around trying to fix it. Got this replacement part for ~$45 and it fit PERFECTLY! I am no where near "savy" when it comes to mechanics, but I easily replace this in about 15 minutes. All you need is an 8mm socket wrench and maybe some silicone sealant if your gasket was rotted out (mine was). I am pretty sure the dealership would have charged my $200+ for this job, so I am super happy that it was this easy AND it is like new again!

I did some research before purchasing this item. Prices for similar products range from below $20 to over $120. The cheaper options often seem to have fitting issues, so I decided to choose this one based on its high number of positive reviews. I’m happy to report that it fits perfectly! I highly recommend it without hesitation. My only negative comment is it took 6 days to arrive.
