The knob came off of the original. This one installed pretty easily and is a perfect replacement. Took me a bit to figure out how to remove and install this one.

No sirve, no tiene la pestaña que sale la perilla negra, no se puede instalar , la original lleva una pestaña que sale y pones el panel negro y luego introduces el plástico de las luces , así no se puede instalar , pero está bien la calidad para otros carros

The knob and rod stay together so once installed, you have to hacksaw the rod and take the knob off to get the console off.

Producto nuevo pero de baja calidad, no tan parecido al de la foto que muestran, lo peor es que el dibujo del botón es de pésima calidad y ni siquiera esta centrado, hay demasiada diferencia con el original, sin embargo cumple su función, no lo recomiendo para personas perfeccionistas, yo solo use el botón con la bara del viejo y se ajustó bien.

Very disappointed. Took forever to ship and when it finally got here the rod is not correct spec. Luckily I was able to take the clip and knob and swap them over to the factory rod.

This part is a little tricky to put in, but PLEASE read what I've learned from this experience:1. DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE THE KNOB FROM THE ROD on this new part. You're going to have a bad time, and if you're like me, it'll make you feel like a wimp. This part seems like it's built a little differently. To put this part on without removing the knob, read my instructions below.2. When you remove the old rod from the base, place the base back into it's spot and screw it back together. THEN, put the dashboard bezel back on. That's right, and NOW, push the new knob AND rod THROUGH the bezel and INTO the hole for the base. Jiggle it around a little while you push in. You should hear and feel a click. The new knob AND rod should be locked into place now.3. This is verified working on a 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra. Now, I've seen the OEM part on other websites for double what it is here. BEFORE you purchase this, remove your old rod from the base. If the rod is silver, then this part WILL fit. If it is black, you might have some filament issues, but should still fit with a little grunt.
