Heavy device. First test seem to be ok.Deviation at my location is 19 degrees East.That lines up with 3 different GPS units perfectly. Still have to test it on the field. Inclination measure is fine, just have to hold it correctly. Overall a good back up to have.

Okay, as a bunch of other reviewers have already noted, this thing is really heavy. Not a good thing for backpacking even if you are not counting ounces. However, this thing is built like a tank. It is also loaded with a lot of useful features. My favorite feature is the peep hole to take your readings at eye level.To say there are better options out there is an understatement. BUT, this thing is great for training especially if you have a bunch of scouts or JROTC's you need to teach navigation skills. You can't beat the price or the ruggedness.

È davvero utile,design molto interessante,può essere utilizzata sia come bussola sia come oggetto decorativo soprattutto per chi è appassionato di nautica,viaggi, astronomia, geografia.L'ho acquistata come un piccolo regalo simbolico per il mio compagno che è un militare ed è stata davvero apprezzata,gli è piaciuta tantissimo;per non dire che quando l'ho vista sul sito Amazon è piaciuta subito pure a me.

The compass was heavy but more irritating was the clearly re used bubble wrap and finger prints on the compass leading me to believe that again a used product was sent.Returned immediately. If I want to buy a used product at discount I will do so, but am tired of feeling like a quality control officer and having my time wasted.
