After many years of sitting in the sun, the exterior portion of the rubber antenna boot on my 2008 Toyota Sienna fell off in the car wash. This part worked well as a replacement and was easy to install, it took just a few minutes. You only need to remove/unscrew the antenna, you don't have to remove the antenna crown nut or undo the fender liner. I found a How-To video on YouTube that was very helpful, search for "antenna grommet 2008 Toyota Sienna". Here's a step-by-step on how to do it:- Soak the replacement part in hot water just prior to installation- using vise grip pliers (preferred) or ordinary pliers, unscrew the antenna from the base- remove what remains of the old rubber antenna boot (just pull it out of the fender thru the opening, it is not secured by fasteners or mechanical means)- remove the new rubber antenna boot from the hot water and install it over the antenna mount in the fender. It will take some coaxing and shoving to get the rubber to seat all around the opening in the fender.- re-install the antenna and tighten it using the vise grip pliers (or ordinary pliers)- Done! Only takes a few minutes.I was very happy with this replacement part and the results.

I installed this on my 2008 Toyota Sienna, but it required some patience, elbow grease, and clever tricks.Things I learned:1) Get it nice and warm first. Installing on a hot summer day would really help.2) While sliding the part down, focus on getting the thin metal of the car body into the groove in the rubber. This is the thing that makes installation very difficult. 3) When you're about 3/4 the day down, bend the part and push the very top of the rubber into the top of the car body hole, making sure that the metal falls into the groove. Having the metal in the groove at both the top and bottom ends will help you get the part all the way into the hole.3) Find a nail which fits into the central hole in the antenna mount, but which has a head large enough to not fall in. This will be useful for aligning the metal up with the hole in the rubber, but cannot be inserted until the right time, or else it will interfere with stretching the rubber during installation.4) Get something like a pair of pliers to push down against the nail head to help the part slide all the way down.5) Most likely there will be areas where the rubber groove is still not pushed in far enough for the car body to slide in. Use a thin, hard plastic tool (which will not scratch paint) to push against the rubber while also pushing into the hole with your thumb. Continue massaging the rubber lip with the tool until there is no longer any gap between the rubber and the car body.Even when doing all of this, I just barely got the job done.Good luck!
