We ended up throwing a big halloween party and wanted to recreate the bottle/table experience clubs give. At clubs they use these exact lights and have it flicker with a giant sign and that's exactly what they do. The light sticks have two modes they either just light up or have a flicker effect. The build quality on them are also very solid as it is made of metal. It is very strong and durable. Definitely a great purchase if your goal is to try to recreate this same experience.
