I wanted to repurpose my car subwoofer for my home theater, but I found not many amps are listed as 2 ohm stable. At the price point of ~200 for an open box unit it was worth taking a shot, and the amp did not disappoint for my application. My sub is rated for 500W RMS, and sounds great with the Low Pass on and the gain at about 60%, with the signal coming directly from the source - no preamp, crossover, etc.The reviews stating the fan is loud - it is. It's as loud as my DLP projector fan. For applications that need as low a noise floor as possible, this fan will either need to be replaced or this amp is not for you. For me , watching movies, the fan quickly blends in with the stereo, so it's not a bother, and the amp still gets 5 stars for my use. It's light, rack mountable, puts out plenty of power for a moderately loud sub, and I have the option to add a other sub at the same level with the other channel. Perfect for my use case, but it's true that the fan is loud.

Had to replace my 30 year old Samson and went with this. Wow! This thing is light as a feather. Sounds great, nice clean power. As others have mentioned, the fan is a little loud but who cares since you’re usually using this to blast vocals, a band mix etcUpdate: stopped working after a year. Got a separate NX3000 to run mains so this 1000 was just bring used for floor monitors. Channel B is stuck in “protect” mode even with nothing plugged into it. Bummer that it turned out to be a piece of crap.

This is a great amplifier, without all the bells and whistles, if that is what you are looking for. There is no DSP, only a simple crossover and two choices of inputs types. The power is clean. The fan can be quite loud but you can replace it with just about any quiet 80 mm PC fan.The manual does not do a very good job explaining the bridge connections for the SpeakOn style connectors. Set the switch to bridge mode and you use only the channel A output with positive coming from the 1+ and negative from the 2+ (no that's not a typo). I purchased a high quality 2 conductor cable and manually moved the negative cable from the 1- to the 2+ in each side of the cable ends, easy to do.

The output of the D Class amplifier was not compatible with the Muslady professional mixer. The amplifier has still not been picked up by vendor from the point of delivery.
