Leave it to bissell to continuously improve upon their designs in ways that make the products more effective and easier to use. This is a great upright carpet cleaner! It quickly got my carpet noticeably clean without leaving it super wet and gross. It's a decent-sized machine but isn't too heavy for an average person to maneuver, and the water tanks are big enough to get through about half of a small-medium bedroom before needing to be emptied or refilled. It doesn't leak everywhere once you stop moving or turn it off, I only noticed some minor dripping from the brush roll area which is hard to avoid in any design. The performance was impressive compared to my old machine from another brand, but I was absolutely thrilled with how easy this thing is to clean. If you've had a little green you'll be familiar with how the components go together and come apart, but bissell has improved upon those design principles to make the user experience better without compromising the quality of the overall build. The suction hood pops off easily and can be rinsed out quite well without further disassembly. The dirty water tank has an easy empty plug that is much easier to open and close than ones older bissell machines, and the interior components come out completely (and in one piece) to make cleaning all the little crevices of the reservoir a breeze.

I purchased this from Amazon resale at a great price. I knew Bissell was a good product since we had one before and it cleans great! This one also cleans great, is able to snap the clean water, dirty water and the brush cover very easily and they come clean quickly and thoroughly. I did have one issue - the clean tank leaked on the side. Probably a manufacturing defect. It was unusable. It was already past the date to talk to Amazon. I emailed the Bissell company directly and told them of the problem. "Jeff" quickly got back to me within a day and said how sorry they were that this happened and they would send me a replacement (no cost). I received the replacement and I'm glad again that I purchased this brand - they stand behind their products. Thank you

This BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus has been the best purchase for our home, especially with an old dog who unfortunately has a lot of accidents. We used to pay to get our carpets professionally cleaned every year, and debated renting a machine — but buying this just made way more sense long-term.I wouldn’t say this totally replaces a professional deep clean, but it definitely helps stretch out the time between needing one. It’s powerful, easy to use, and I was seriously impressed with how well it cleaned some area rugs I thought were beyond saving (thanks to our other old dog). Not only did it lift the stains, but it also completely got the smell out.Huge bonus that it’s quick-drying (about 30 minutes) and comes with attachments for upholstery and tough stains. Total game-changer for pet parents dealing with accidents, muddy paws, or just general wear and tear from animals and kids.Highly recommend if you have pets, kids, or just want to keep your carpets and rugs looking and smelling clean without breaking the bank!

I purchased this for my parents, but have used it myself to clean one of the rugs in their recreation room.--Usage--The wall-to-wall carpet was my job. It is a larger room, about 25x30, and has a short-pile rug inside. It hasn't seen a lot of traffic but it has seen a lot of activity (human and dog) over the last twenty years, and the windows are typically kept open, such that pollen makes its way in every year. It was last washed in the early-2010s, but semi-regularly vacuumed.I completely washed the carpet two times. I'd do a wet pass/soapy pass, a vacuum pass, then another wet/soapy pass and let it sit. I probably used seven tanks of water and a little more than half a container of soap. After the two wash passes, I did a rinse pass, then a drying pass. Even after the rinse the water was still coming away dingy, but no longer opaque, and the return reservoir no longer had solid soil in the bottom when emptying it. I continued drying until only little water was drawn up In all I'd say it took about two hours, though I had to navigate around some immovable furniture. After all the washing was done, I opened all the windows, stuck two large fans inside, and dried the room out. It took a least three ~80F days for the carpet to dry sufficiently that I was comfortable putting furniture back down on it, and it was still a couple days until it felt normal again.--Outcome--My general impression was that it was equal to the purpose; it did about as well as I would expect a carpet cleaner to do. The rug I washed was a speckled white/black/grey, and I was surprised by how white the white was after I finished cleaning. Also the carpet was noticeably softer after washing, and remains that way still. My parents washed the area rug, also to success, but they also commented that the unit seems to use a lot of water. The carpet did look quite nice afterward, and despite being used under the kitchen table, had no conspicuous stains left.--Complaints--I would like the reservoir to be larger - the primary water tank and especially the return reservoir, as the latter must be emptied when only half of its apparent volume has been filled, somewhat bothersome when you are on the second floor and far from a drain. That's the biggest downside to this unit - for every full tank of water you use, you need to make two trips to empty the return. When the return fills to its limit, the suction cuts off, but since the return tank looks only half-full you might not notice unless you pick up on the fact that the sound has changed and the water is no longer flowing into the unit's front chute. It could use a warning light to tell you it's time to empty the reservoir.For the short-pile carpet I'd like the suction to be a bit stronger, so I wouldn't need to make two or three passes to collect the water and the drying time afterward would be reduced. Also, there are a few stains of unknown provenance that the unit did not get out - if anything they are now more visible than ever since everything else is clean - but they are very old and I doubt any carpet cleaner would remove them without some additional effort. The next time I wash the carpet I may try a pre-treatment and see if that helps.--Conclusion--Altogether, if you don't have pets I'm not sure this is worth the premium over other models, but I'm fairly happy with the purchase, I think it performs well enough. There are no dogs in the house now, so I cannot comment on that feature of the unit, nor on the upholstery cleaner, but the carpet function works just fine. I think that if I were to buy a carpet cleaner for myself, I would look for one with a larger reservoir/return, but if your rooms are smaller and you wash them more regularly than once a decade, its capacity is probably sufficient.

We did a little research but picked this one sort of on a whim. It’s amazing. Just get it.We are pretty clean people but have a toddler and a puppy, and recently lost a 14 year old dog who got incontinence issues in his old age. Our 3 year old pale cream carpet was absolutely disgusting. No spot treatments worked, sometimes they even left bigger stains. We rented a commercial cleaner last year and it didn’t get the stains out. But I used this for a couple hours this morning and it’s spotless. Like 100% spotless.Was very user friendly. On eco mode the tank lasted a long time and I like being able to watch the soapy water suction up into the machine. No leaks, even when replacing the tanks. SUPER easy to fill and clean. It’s not too heavy or unwieldy. I’m 5 months pregnant and used it for like 3 hours with no issues (though I would recommend they upgrade the handle next go around, only mildly irritating after 3 hours but would be nice to be softer on the palms but still firm and not foam).I didn’t think I’d care for the built in spot treatment, but it was great! And honestly the thing that made the difference compared to the commercial one we rented. Little hard to aim, but manageable.Did one wet pass then 3-6 dry passes depending on the area, how fast I moved, and whether or not I spot treated. It was completely dry within a few hours (eco mode areas were dry way quicker). Which is also an upgrade over the rentals.Goes to show that a company who specializes in a product is the obvious winner when it comes to quality and attention to detail. Worth every cent (though I can’t speak to longevity yet).Update:12/2024Puppy peed on the carpet last night. Whipped it out today and spent 15 minutes on that section of hallway. Easy to setup, use, and clean. Amazing how much dirt came out of the carpet even though I did a deep clean a few weeks ago. It’s the 4th time I’ve used it and I’m impressed and glad that I actually use it, was worried it would just sit in the closet most of the year.
