I'm new to fountain pens. So far so good. My 14 year old is starting to develop an obsession for these writing instruments. This is a good start-- smooth, good quality so far.

I have discovered through error and trials of other Lamy Fountain Pen DO NOT clean with anything but water. AND clean each time if you change ink type. Many inks don't like each other and will clog.This Pen is very smooth. And delightful to draw and write with.I write left handed but I turn my paper not crank my wrist upside down. Therefore I don't need a special left handed pen.

As expected it works great. My only complaint is the triangle shape where you hold it forces you to hold the pen one way. If you are not able to conform to the pens form then I would look at other pens. In all for an inexpensive aluminum fountain pen it's nice.

I love my Aquatic. How could you not? The beautiful clear aqua grip sandwiched between the black nib and light blue barrel. It was a pleasure from filling it with ink the first time to laying my first thought on paper. It writes like other Lamy pens…but the look keeps bringing me back fore more. The simple aesthetics is stunning. I am an aerospace engineer who writes daily. It now kills me when I write with my utilitarian erasable quad pen — I want to pick up the Aquatic and show it off. If I could only fill it with thermal erasable ink I would be happier.

The fountain pen is very nice. I am enjoying drawing and writing with it. It’s light weight as well
