It's taken a little over a year but I finally finished the front facing! The kit had everything I needed (aside from scissors, thread ripper, etc..) EXCEPT poly fill, which you use quite often to get more of a 3D effect. I had some left from another project but otherwise you'll need to get some (like from inside a ripped stuffed animal or dog toy 😆). I used hair cutting scissors to cut out the pieces--they're super sharp and give crisp edges. The instructions are clear but not detailed, you need to know basic embroidery stitches and sewing skills. NOT a beginner project.Like others mention, the felt is fine but not super sturdy if you plan to load up the stocking with actual gifts. Plus your stitched back will be exposed and prone to snagging. I plan to sew the provided backing to main piece to cover my stitches, then buy a piece of heavy fabric to make the body of the stocking to go on the back. After all this work I plan to use it and want it to last for years to come!!

The stocking was more complicated than I initially thought, but the instructions were broken down and explained well. It ended up being pretty easy, but took longer to finish than expected

I ran out of white sequins before even completing half of the steps. This is the fourth Bucilla stocking kit I have assembled and the first time I ran out of anything. It earns four stars because it is adorable but it is disappointing I can't complete it without ordering more sequins.

I have completed 3 other Bucilla stocking kits this year and those were all excellent quality (aside from the needles included which are cheap) I am disappointed with the quality of this particular kit. I love the design and it is fun to work on, but the quality of the printing on the felt is poor. The light blue felt was dirty out of the package ( I was able to clean it with a bit of water which showed that it was actually dirt and not discolored felt). The print on the red is so light that it’s difficult to see all the dots where the sequins attach, and all the felt pieces have tiny specks of the black ink used for the printing. Some of these specks are on the areas that are visible on the completed stocking. Overall I like the kit but am dissatisfied with the quality.
