I'm in the process of building a foamie out of some experimental materials, and I wanted some good wire to use, so I thought I would give this a try. Excellent choice. This wire is well made out of good quality materials. Fit and finish are good. Compact size is perfect for wiring the internal lighting etc. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

Love that I found a solution then wasting time and money buying and installing extention cords. Very easy to install and looks great for yard decorations with the sloppy looks of wires all over the yard. Will stand the cold weather too.

CATEGORICAL GRADINGPresentation/Packaging: BQuality/Craftsmanship/Materials: BPrice/Value/Worth: BFunctionality/Versatility: BInstructions/Ease-of-Use/Comfort: CMarketing vs Reality: CUtility Grade (how useful it will be to me): A(Where “C” = Average)COMMENTS: This is pristine and neatly coiled 2-wire cord that arrives packed in a plastic zip lock. The coating feels like it would be durable according to SPT-2 standards for outdoor use. The cord is marked SPT-2W and has 18 gauge but it looks a little narrower to the naked eye. The cord works fine with the vampire plugs I ordered along with it. It will come in handy while stringing Christmas lights and for making dedicated, single-plug, exact length extension cords around the house.*PRECISE RATING: 4RECOMMENDATION: At ~$0.44/ft it is a decent value. If you need 50 feet of two-wire outdoor cord, I recommend this product.(As always, I will report back if there are any durability or performance issues with additional use.)PHOTO INFO (photos are loaded in order, but may be rearranged when finally posted):1) Package of wire as sent.2) Coiled wire3) Look at cross section4) Short extension cord made with wire5) Demonstrating function using lampI hope you found something informative and useful in this review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. Good luck with your decision.*My rating scale:5 = definitely buy again, happy to have it (exceptional in several characteristics,)4 = probably buy again (decent job of doing what I need, excels in one or two characteristics)3 = perhaps buy again after researching options (functions OK, looks OK, decent quality, average life expectancy but no outstanding characteristics) (in other words, average)2 = would not buy again (low end/below average merchandise and/or service, but not totally worthless)1 = sorry I bought it the first time (poor performance in several characteristics, no redeeming characteristics)

We used to call this stuff "lamp cord" as it was used on lamps of many types and descriptions. This cable is 18AWG with a heavier insulation (of better quality) than traditional lamp cord. Very pleased with the quality of Amazon sales these days.
