Love this box for transporting my soft pastels when doing street art at festivals. Two top swing out compartments holes 120 haLf sticks of pastels. The mail storage under the two swing boxes hold 24 large street chalk sticks and 12 large vine charcoals sticks easily. The pull out drawer below holds four foam brushes for blending. A circle string and 25 reference 4x6 prints for drawing reference. Highly recommend for artists that need to transports a bit of materials to execute a piece of art while on the go.

I am going out my way to leave this review because I LOVE this box. I am a bead weaver, but I also have an infant and two cats. This means I’m often frantically putting away needles and delicate beads while trying to stop one kind of disaster or another. I’ve been looking for a good kit box and this box is perfect. The bottom drawer is a perfect working tray, as it slides out completely. When I need to jump up I just slide it back in and can come back to my work undisturbed. The box is very well built and has no burrs. The only issue would be to add a clasp to keep the lower draw closed when carrying it. But the handle is sturdy and the whole thing feels like it will last a long long time. Another modification, other than the lower drawer clasp, which I’ll suggest for other crafters is to paint or engrave a ruler on the bottom drawer, as it is exactly 12 inches long. All in all, the box fits all my go-to beads, findings, threads, and tools. If I was going to make a starter beading box for a friend I would buy another of these just for the fun of filling it.

I bought this to hold markers and paper for my pen plotter. It works well for that except one drawback; the bottom drawer is not quite wide enough for US letter paper. I mis-read: the width is 9 1/4" on the exterior, the drawer itself is under 8" wide. You can pull the drawer all the way out and the slot left behind is just wide enough for US letter, so that's what I'm doing for now.Other than that complaint specific to my use case it seems like a fine little box. Not high quality craftsmanship but what do you want for 30 bucks? It's honest wood and seems well joined. Lots of drawers of various sizes. Nice carrying handle.

This is the third box I have purchased from 7 Elements. They all all very well made with excellent quality materials. I am using this box in my glass studio. It makes it easy to find my tools which is important when you have 2000 degree liquid glass balanced on the end of a fine wire. The other 2 boxes I have are their boxes with low drawers, one with 3 drawers, and one with 5. One of those holds my jewelry tools and I am using the other to organize fince metals, murrine and dichroic glass in my glass studio. I am thinking about getting another for my watercolors.I have purchased other boxes, some for a good deal more, and none is as well made, well designed and useful. In fact I am planning to get one for a friend who is an artist, but want it to be a surprise... which poses a bit of a puzzle because I do not know which would be the most useful to her. These are great quality, solid wood, well finished, finely crafted and an unbelievable price given the quality.
