It works very nicely. Even charged some of my older NiCd batteries very decently! I recommend this charger!

First impression: Worked like the original Porter Cable charger, charged my two new Lithium Ion battery packs. Information says it will work with anything. If true, I like that. Supposedly, it should not burn out any earlier battery packs. Edit July 22, 2020 I am coming up on two years for this purchase. I purchased the recommended charger for the Lithium Ion batteries and it seems to work as good as the original Porter Cable. The original nickle cadmium batteries always failed at about 14 -24 months, I am now past 20 months. I often use it with the original 18 volt light, and that light can go a LONG time on either the original bulb or a modern LED one. No problems at this point.
