I bought this coffee pot because I am a coffee lover. I needed something I can use in case the electricity goes out during hurricane season. It worked great. I used it on my outdoor grill. It is made well, not heavy, good quality and is a good size that I could put the extra coffee in a thermos for later.

Love this percolator so much!! I use it at home and away on camping trips and it’s just brilliant. I love that I can have amazing coffee no matter where my travels take me. And it’s honestly some of the best coffee I’ve ever had.Great over the campfire - warming up on the coals (just be careful you don’t burn the wood handle like I did d’oh), oh a tent stove, gas range, or hot tent stove - options are endless. 11 out of 5 stars.

Love this pot. I live in Canada so here is the metric formula for really bold coffee13:1 water to coffee ratio1 Tbsp (7.8gms) of beans for every 100 ml of water1 Tbsp of coffee beans weighs 7.8 gramsTherefore 13 x 7.8 = 100or 1 Tbsp of beans for every 100 ml of water16 oz Stanley Mug500/13 = 38.5 or38.5 grams or 5 Tbsps of coffee for 500ml or 500 grams12 oz cup 350ml370/13 = 28.5 or 3.5 Tbsps of coffee beans for 350 ml or 350 grams finished coffee remember the grounds retain a little bit998/13 = 76.7 or77 grams or 10 Tbsps of coffee per litre a litre of water weighs 998 grams1 - 8oz or 250 ml cup250/13 = 19.23gm or 2.5 Tbsp of beans per cup1 crushed eggshell for every 4 cups. Medium coarse grind like coarse drip1 Full Tbsp of coffee beans weighs about 7.8 grams on average. Enough for 100ml of waterThe loop at the bottom of the pot Beneath the handle is for an L shaped lever so you can pour the coffee while it is still hanging on the bail over a campfire.

Overall pretty good but, I would prefer to have a removable lid plus no idea how to use the lower hoop. Went nuts looking at useless videos and not one referred to it.There was a hiccup trying to register for their lifetime guaranty, which was resolved promptly. But, I had a question about the function of a lower attachment on the percolator and re-emailed them twice requesting clarity and have just had a reply. The lower hoop is to apply a handle for pouring.Faith restored. So, its been a couple of months of use and that darn cover is a pain since it does not snap in place. When you tip over the pot to pour, you have to hold the cover down to avoid the basket from falling out. It would also be good to have a removable cover. Its just in the way when cleaning it plus the hinge is becoming looser with time.A classic situation of "form" over "function".

Went to a cabin a while back and they had a perculator similar to this. It turned my regular old grounds I brought into a masterpeice in my cup. So here we are. I dont write reviews u less its really bad or the opposite. This will make you one of your best coffee cups. Even though I'm giving it some cons to be transparent for another buyer, I think they are minor for myself and that the pros are just too good to give it anything less then 5 stars. Buy it.The pros:Lots of coffee. Lots and lots for 2 or a big cup for 6 .Very easy to brewBest coffee I've had in a long long timeDurable, no parts to break or wear out.Portable, can store coffee bag in unit.Very easy to get squeaky clean.( part of the cons aswell)No need to buy extra filters (included) works fine withoutThe cons:Longer but doable brew time.At our elevation(higher)with room tem water 24 to 28 minutes that's including 4 min of purculation.Bit of Grounds at bottom of cup at the last pour.Have to clean after each use(about 30 seconds to a min)No fill line.(it's the bottom hole on the spout)All that it's well made and just get it and never have to buy a coffee maker that breaks after 5/10 years. Really good full bodied coffee with no more bitter dish water.
