First, the most important thing with shoes: these fit true to size. They look very narrow coming out of the box, but fit roughly like a D width when you put them on. On the product page, there is an "Amazon suggests" size, which did indeed give the best size for me. Speaking of the product page, it does not clearly indicate, but these are men's shoes, or, at least, they come in men's sizes. A woman with wide feet could certainly wear this style; they would just need to order roughly 2 sizes smaller than usual. They really do look great. I have been wearing penny loafers, on and off, since the 70s, mostly expensive ones, and these look like expensive ones. The sole is a European style driving sole, with raised grippy patches across the bottom and on the lower part of the heel. On the box it says "designed in Paris", so that fits. Curiously, the (brown cardboard) box and the inside of the shoes have a maple leaf logo with the brand name, so I was expecting Canada. Like all inexpensive shoes, they are made in China. They have a slight bit of arch support, and, as you can see in the illustration, a "zero drop" design, so if you often wear "barefoot" style shoes, these are a great choice for something more dressy and protective. OTOH, if you are expecting a more conventional style, with a flat sole and raised heel, these might not be your best choice, especially since the raised grippy pads do not come too close to the edge of the shoe, so they do not give the "firmly planted" feel of a conventional shoe, though the feel is not so far from, again, a "barefoot" shoe, which also relies on your foot to stabilize it, rather than the other way around. They do seem to be all plastic, which is normal for this price point, but the uppers are unusually comfortable for plastic, and look very convincingly like leather to me, even being slightly "gathered" around the toe, like some of my very expensive loafers. The (molded in?) stitching looks exactly like the way expensive loafers are stitched. Speaking of comfort, these are very well finished on the inside, with a soft slightly padded liner that feels seamless, and they are very nearly as light and flexible as "barefoot" shoes. The bottom is lightly padded, with a little additional padding under the heel. As someone who wears mostly "barefoot" shoes, these are exactly the right kind of "nice" shoes to not require a big adjustment. I would not wear them with a suit and tie to a wedding (though I'm sure many people would) but they would probably work great for anything less dressy, including interviews, meeting clients, and even times when I would otherwise wear sneakers: penny loafers are a wonderfully flexible style.Besides the box, they came securely filled with paper-covered foam to maintain their shape, and individually bagged. Predictably, they arrived in perfect condition.I gave these 4 stars instead of 5, just because most people do not wear "barefoot" shoes, and they might find these a little unsettling, and people who are purists about barefoot shoes may find these a little too "constructed." Personally, I think they're perfect.

These loafers completely break the rules of what shoes should be. The bottom has treads instead of a proper sole, and these treads don't even reach the edge of the shoe. When walking, your foot can roll outward with nothing to stop it - there's almost no stability. They also have no heel whatsoever. If you're used to regular shoes, walking in these just feels bizarre, I’m guessing it must be similar to how women feel wearing their flats, but with weird tread soles.I'm still not sure if I'll get used to how these feel. Walking in them is just weird. On the plus side, they look nice and seem well-made. The materials and stitching look solid, so they'll probably last a while.

I ordered these DECARSDZ Men's Lightweight Casual Penny Loafers Soft for Driving Slip on Shoes for Men for my teenage son; he wears a coat and tie to school every day, and prefers loafers as a dress shoe. These driving style loafers are lightweight and very flexible; my son can wear them with khakis or dress pants, but they also look great with a pair of shorts for casual wear. These loafers are made from faux PU leather; from a distance, they look very similar to real leather. My son has a pair of real leather loafers in a similar style; side by side, these shoes look almost the same. The only small difference I noticed is a very slight puckering effect at a few of the “gathers” in the PU leather.PU leather comes in a wide range of quality; this is a nice one, flexible and fairly sturdy, and not at all shiny or sticky or slick. My son was very pleased with how comfortable these shoes were; he tried them on for size, and declared he wanted to wear them tomorrow. I asked if he needed a break in period and he said he didn’t need one. He walks miles every day; he’s got a lengthy commute on the NYC subway, and he runs up and down the stairs between classes, so he’s picky about wanting very comfortable shoes. These loafers have rubber sole patches, one extends up onto the heel of the shoe. My son is used to this type of tread; he’s word driving loafers for years. The treads are inset a bit further than usual, there’s a bit of an open edge around the treads, but my son said the loafers were easy to walk in. They have a slightly padded liner with a bit of arch support, but these are not a heavily constructed shoe. My son runs around barefoot in our home; he likes shoes that don’t feel confining. My son usually wears a size 10 or 10 1/2. I ordered him a 10 1/2, and it fits him perfectly; I would say these run true to size. He can wear these with socks or without; there’s enough room for standard weight socks. He does have wide feet; I often buy him wide width shoes. These fit him nicely, so they may be a bit wide for narrower feet.At the current price ($39.99), I would say these are an excellent deal. These look quite a lot like brand name loafers he’s worn before that cost two or three times as much. These driving loafers are versatile and can be styled up or down; they look great with a coat and tie, or without khaki shorts and a tee. These loafers arrived in a plain brown cardboard shoe box; the logo on the top looked like a maple leaf. The box says these are designed in Paris, but I believe these are made in China. They came with paper stuffing to help the shoes keep their shape. My son is pleased with the comfort and style; I like the quality and lower price point. Nice faux leather driving loafers.

These shoes look very nice and are very comfortable. They run true to size. I wear size ten and that's what I ordered. They fit perfectly. The soles are very thin and flexible rubber so I don't think they would be good for wearing daily. I actually ordered these because they looked just like a pair of Minkotta slippers I wore for years but finally wore out so I was very pleased by this.

I recently bought the DECARSDZ Men's Casual Penny Loafers, and they immediately exceeded my expectations! Right out of the box, these loafers impressed me with their exceptional comfort and soft, lightweight feel—perfect for all-day wear. The PU material not only looks genuinely stylish but also feels supple and comfortable against my feet. These shoes are incredibly versatile; I've worn them to casual outings, driving, and even semi-formal events, receiving compliments each time. The slip-on style is convenient, making them my go-to shoe when I'm on the move or in a hurry. The fit was exactly as described—true to size with just enough snugness to remain comfortable without slipping.Maintenance has been effortless; a simple wipe-down easily brings them back to looking brand new. The quality is excellent, especially considering the very reasonable price. If you're looking for loafers that perfectly balance elegance, comfort, and affordability, these are definitely the ones to choose. Highly recommended!
