My mother just celebrated her 70th birthday. This item was a present for her. She absolutely loved it. She has been obsessed with horses all her life.

Beautiful horse statue. Only thing i didn't like, should have little more detail about the horse muscles. Overall its a good piece. But people who go in detail, may not like it.

Arrived this morning and so disappointed I had to review it straight away!Well packaged and arrived undamaged.Beautiful design, life like with a good sense of movement.So why 1 star? Simple. The joins are poorly finished and totally visible. Worse, whatever has been used to seal the join (glue?) is of a different colour to the main body of the horse.No quality control or the company simply doesn't care!Poor at any price and shocking at the price charged!Had I paid for this it would have gone straight back for a refund.Shame.

The Bonded Marble Horse statue is a bit different and from a distance I think it looks quite impressive. It’s a decent size, the composition is well thought out and there is a lot of attention to detail – it looks like a horse rearing up with its mane moving in the breeze and the muscles of the horse showing its strength. When it arrived though and I could see it up close I was disappointed. You can easily tell where the mould was sealed. One of the legs was obviously cast separately and attached later – it’s a different colour to the main design – more yellow with an obvious join. You can see little bits which were obviously stuck in the mould before it was poured, there are imperfections and for some reason it also has glitter in it which catches the light but rather than highlighting it, looks more like a school art project. Unfortunately my horse also arrived damaged. One of the ears is broken making it quite sharp to touch and one hoof has a chip in it. It’s not a piece you’d want around young children as it is quite heavy and going by the damage on mine, I’m guessing would also break quite easily if dropped. You also want to have a vacuum handy when taking it out the box as the polystyrene packaging makes a bit of a mess and the statue will have to be vacuumed to get all the little balls off it. Overall I’d be very disappointed if I’d spent £80 on this and probably disappointed still at even half that price.
