I bought this rasp after reading the reviews and I wasn't disappointed.I am making a guitar body from 40mm thick Maple. Now Maple is a very hard wood so working with it is a challenge.Using this rasp to put some shape into the body was much easier than I had hoped for. Roughly sawn to shape, the rasp was used to further remove wood and final shape the guitar body, finishing with grades of glasspaper.A great tool and perfect for this use.

Absolutely brilliant. Took a couple of mm off my electric cupboard door and frame in two minutes. Quick rub with sanding block after. Touch up with primer and top coat later. Voila. Job I had been swearing about the bloomin door that sticks every time for the last eight years. Ffs. For less than a fiver. Honestly, I should have done it sooner. Perfectly good strong file for first use bxstxrd. Comfortable handle. Nice and big not a piddly little thing. Huge box from Amazon lol which is actually handy as I'm fleabaying at the moment and can use it. If you have any sticking door frames and can hold them open and get to underneath i.e. back or front door if a step and there's some clearance, or side of door or frame I would definitely try this first rather than planing.Hope this helps. It's a basic good value file that exceeded expectations.

This rasp is as sharp as a new chisel, so beware. It is as a consequence excellent for roughing down wood. The handle is comfortable. It is double sided
