So much better than the vans I used to wear in every way. Like everyone says these true to size.

My previous shoes are 5.10 freeriders. Pre-Adidas. I bought the same size and while the length is fine, the width is now much more narrow. Until the fabric stretched, my feet would hurt after a longer ride (more than 1hr). There is also something in the tongue of both shoes with puts pressure on the top of my foot. I think it is poorly sewn or excess fabric. So they're definitely not as comfortable. As far as grip is concerned, I feel that these aren't any better than my OG freeriders. I can't compare the grip to any other brands.I will commend these shoes for the added protection around the toes and sides of my feet. Sometimes I manage to clip my toe on a rock or root while pedaling in a turn. It used to hurt! But now I barely feel it when it happens.

Good looking MTB shoes. True to size and are very comfortable. Can’t comment on longevity or durability because I’ve only got one ride on them. I run spank oozy trail pedals and they stick like glue. I got them for almost half off and at that price you won’t find anything better.

I bought my son a pair of these biking shoes to replace his clipless biking shoes. His one ankle bothered him each time he twisted his foot to get his shoe off the clipless pedal. He has used these new shoes several times now while mountain biking. According to him, they stick to the pedals just fine; no more painful ankle. The size he asked me to order fit him perfectly.
