I've been buying and using these trays in my tackle bag every time I upgrade, and have purchased them or convinced my relatives to use them also. These are my go to if I ever need a new bulk tackle tray.

Needed something sturdy for my plein air paints and palette knives to store in my backpack. This was the perfect size (I used a limited palette), keeps everything protected and slides in and out of my pack easily!

I was looking for a case to store some pre-tied fishing rigs and this one was nice that it didn’t have any dividers. Worked great and waterproof.

I have this box in the 10.79 x 7.2 x 1.89 size. Bought it to surface mount (4 stainless screws) on the deck of my fishing boat. I use it as handy storage for the small stuff I use constantly. Much easier to get to than opening a storage hatch. Used it a couple of months now and I really like it. This is the highest quality box I've seen, really solid and waterproof. A couple of minor things: First is the interior height of the box. While the outside height is 1.89" the usable interior height is approximately half that (I measure .950"). Be aware of this if you need storage for stuff thicker than this. Finally, for the Flambeau folks.....I'd guess the "open core" description was assigned by engineers. It is meaningless to average people looking for a box. How hard is it to say "no dividers"?
