Many uses for this item. Replicates a 12v car battery. It is tunable to provide the correct voltage. I'm using it with a diesel heater that is supposed to run on a 12 volt battery. I can just run off electricity. Would be perfect for car radio testing etc...

The description says the fan comes on when it reaches a certain temperature but that is false, it comes on as soon as you plug it in and it is pretty noisy and never shuts off. The first one I received was damaged but it did put out power so I thought the fan was damaged but the replacement does the same thing. It does put out the power as advertised but I bought it not only for the amp rating but also the temp controlled fan so I have to return the replacement. Such a hassle because of the false advertising.

Bought 2 of these, one failed out of the box, 2 burnt up after minimal use, what I Bought was rated for 20 amps my circuit is pulling 10 amps on start up and 2 amps continuous. Both have failed.
