I’m a trailside cook. I like real food. So I make real home style meals in a mess kit. This is my main use stove. It’s simple and it works. You can’t ask for more than that.

I've used this stove for just over 2 years now and have had no negative experiences with it. First, its performance is extremely typical for this style burner. It's a jet of flame that has good adjustability ranging from a full on boil to a light-ish simmer. Then, it's ridiculously small and light. It saves a decent amount of weight and space in my pack. Everything I need; fuel, stove, lighter, and bandana will pack inside of my 1000ml pot.

This seems to be as light as you can find for a reliable thru hiking stove. Combined with a Toaks or similar titanium pot, you can easily have a hot water setup for under a pound (including gas canister). By the way, I understand this to be no different from the BSR stove that is quite popular.Functionally, it works, though it's not super efficient. It's a bit noisy, but I find it to be much quieter than the popular MSR stoves, though not as efficient. The price makes a difference, it would seem. The arms have also loosened up noticeably after only a few months of regular use. They don't really "snap" into place, but at least there's a "shelf" where they can rest while holding weight. Speaking of which, be extra careful as it has only three points of contact spanning a small area so it can easily lead to a spill. I could also see potential improvement in allowing the adjustment pin to fold up in line with the arms for stowing. As it is, the valve has to be open slightly to fold it up neatly. This leads to gas waste if you don't tighten the valve closed before attaching to the gas canister.Most importantly, this thing is tiny and light. I don't bother with the plastic container. I can fit a 110 gram canister, lighter, and this stove snugly inside a 650ml Toaks titanium pot.

When folded the burner is very compact and light and fits into the included holder which I then put in my small camp pot set for traveling. It's a simple device, but appears to be constructed. I used it on a recent motorcycle camping trip and it heats up a small pot of water or stew very quickly. No issues really.
