I've worn Gore Wear products on and off for the last 10+ years. Their products have always been quality and the Endure jacket is no different. I will say Gore has improved their garment sizing considerably. Which is to say they are now true to size. I'm 5'7", 155lbs, 39"-40" chest, and 31" waist. I normally wear a size medium in all my cycling gear. My last Gore rain jacket I had to purchase a large it was so form fitting/small. Using that experience as a template I purchased a size large for the Endure. It fit but to my surprise the jacket was borderline baggy and not what I was expecting. I exchanged it for a medium. Bingo! Perfect fit. The fit is regular not slim which may be part of the problem...or solution I should say. Having said that, I purchased this jacket for running and hiking. I have run with it a few times in light rain. It was superb at keeping me dry for the entire run. All my runs have been around the 40F temperature mark and I haven't noticed any sweat build up with a thin long sleeve base layer underneath. The jacket does an excellent job with moisture management at cool temperatures. I'm curious at what temperature the fabric won't be able to keep up with venting all the moisture. For late winter/early spring conditions though this jacket is spot on. Additionally, the jacket looks really good with hiking pants or regular street clothes. In fact, it has become my go to rain/cool weather jacket for everything. It most certainly could be used for cycling but I would have to go to a size small to eliminate any flapping in the wind. Just my preference. The hood is great and fits over a cycling helmet no problem. My previous Gore rain jacket's hood fit underneath the helmet. I wasn't a fan of that. If there is one issue I would say it's the price. This is always the issue, right? It is a bit steep compared to other rain jacket options. For me the jacket hits all the marks and I always pay a little more to have the quality, performance, and looks this jacket provides. Again just my preference. Overall this is a good looking quality jacket that hits the mark really well on a lot different levels. If you can reconcile the price this jacket would do well on your short list. Cheers!

Fällt leger aus. Passen also auch noch mehrer Schichten unter die Jacke.

The arms on this jacket are insanely tight. They seem to be built for stick people who don't wear base layers. If you have any amount of muscle or you want layers, this wont work for you.
