If you squint really hard you might think these pins are gold in color. They're also quite poorly made. The metal has lots of uneven potholes all over. Bad for use on fabric.

These are nice and sturdy heavy duty safety pins. I've used them on large shawls, to hold curtains together and other home projects. The nice golden hue looks great but it doesn't call too much attention to itself. I ordered both the gold and bronze and they look and work just as advertised.

The moment I opened the bag I knew I had a winner. I bought the silver ones and they are beautiful. These safety pins, as they call them, are very good looking. I will use them for needle felted brooches. They are a perfect size and are strong. At the widest point near the clasp, they are just under 1/2" wide, and are just under 2" long. My patrons will be very impressed with the quality, just as I am.They are a tad rough to pierce through cloth but I fixed that concern right away. I gently sanded (stroked them) down with my glass nail file/s that I purchased here at Amazon. These are the best nail files I have ever used for my fingers and toe nails. And because they are gentle and strong, I knew they would work for these brooch pins. And now the pin goes through fabric easily.
