The product was a perfect plug and play for my failing Honeywell ignition device with the same part number. I was worried that it was pictured as "Honeywell" on the Amazon website, and delivered as a "Resideo" device. After quick research, Resideo is the home products division of Honeywell, and the parts are essentially interchangeable. This is a great product and solved the "Weak Spark" of my old Honeywell Igniter. I saved a fortune in repair costs and service charges from my HVAC company.

I've been dealing with burner lighting issues for several years now. Was getting intermittent lighting of my burners. The pilot would always light, the burner would always ignite, but then a good percentage of the time the gas valve would almost immediately close and the burner would go out (of course). The blower would continue to blow indefinitely if the system was not manually shut down. I would turn the system off (set thermostat to OFF rather than Heat/Cool/Auto), wait about 10 seconds then set back to heat. The cycle would start again and I would persist until the burner stayed lit. Last year I replaced the flame sensor (very difficult location in my furnace so I had been avoiding doing it) which helped very little, if at all. After purchasing this unit and installing it, my furnace has been running great an lighting every time. So much nicer now that I don't wake up to unheated air being circulated through our house and fighting with the furnace to get the house back up to temp.I am very pleased with the results.

Wow. This unit controls a LOT of items I guess I didn’t take into account. My old unit was from 2006 and my boiler was randomly shutting off and turning back on.Hopped onto google to figure out how to clean my boiler out (Super easy) Cleaned the flame detector rod, installed this unit, redid All of the crimps, and fires up my boiler.Literally works 100x Better. When it sparks to ignite, it’s Way faster, and more powerful than my old unit was by ten fold. All operations are Extremely smooth, turning on and shutting off.Only thing left to do now is get the combustion tuned now and flush the system. Utica Boiler from 1991 running like an absolute champ now. Super fast shipment, great price. Thanks!

My old igniter came with the 1987 LP gas furnace I installed. It was failing to keep the intermittent pilot ON, and was causing the gas valve to cycle On and OFF rapidly with loud clicking noises. I thought I might have to replace the furnace. I decided to try replacing the igniter instead. I read the instructions twice, watched a you tube video. I made sure to mark all my wires as I removed them. Removing the old unit and installing the new one took me about 20 minutes, but I was being overly cautious making sure it was done correctly.I also replaced the ignitor ground wire and cleaned the ignitor/sensor with a wire brush on my Dremel tool.To do it again, I'm sure it would take me less than 5 minutes now that I know how. The new one solved the ignition problem and has been working great for about a month now.You can take the model number off your old ignitor and see if this is a replacement for it.Update 01 23 2021 Still working as it should

This module has worked without issue for ~3 months now. It replaced an older model that did not have the trouble/diagnostic codes and also did not include probe points for flame sense amperage (in micro-amperes). I feel that the new features are a nice upgrade that will allow for easier failure diagnosis in the future. Reasonable price too!A few things to keep in mind when installing:1.) If the input power is at all flaky (my voltage was low, anywhere between 14-20 volts, but sometimes normal, due to a flaky relay I have since replaced, I also heard of a guy who used this controller in a home brewing situation and his use of diodes to "prevent backfeeding" also caused the same issue, presumably by cutting voltage in half, but I am not an electrician...), you may get a diagnostic trouble code citing a "damper error," even if, as in my case, you do not and have never had a damper attached. Suffice it to say that, if you get this code, especially if you do not have a damper, check your input power!2.) Your old controller may have used 24v and 24v ground connections and had TH-W labeled "opt" or "optional"; the new controller requires the 24v connection to be shifted to TH-W, which is apparently no longer optional!
