My DD medical student loved the set up and material for these notebooks. She is quite petite so some thicker ones really didn't fit in pockets easily, but would for larger lab/scrub coat sizes. It also adds weight to already laden pockets, minor but when you have to have on your person numerous items it adds up. She found it more useful in certain rotations. If you're an old school note taker - don't hesitate to get these. If you'd rather use digital (and are allowed) maybe start with one and see how you like it before ordering the whole set. For peds and ob/gyn some of the notes are especially helpful as they are slight different than standard. Would buy again. If you're a med student you have years of opportunities ahead to use these.
