I ordered this to bridge the gap that is behind my nightstand and the wall, thereby increasing the surface area. Because my nightstand is also black in color, this blends in perfectly. It was easy to install and recommend using a level to ensure that it's straight.

My cat sleeps on the table next to my desk.He tends to move around and was actually falling OFF!So much for cats being balanced and landing on their feet. Hard to do if you are asleep I guess. Remember falling out of bed as a child? LOLSO...I used this shelf as a backstop on the edge of the table. I used only the glue provided and it is very sturdy and works great. I'm not sure if this review will help you but I am very happy with it.

This is just how it's described. Lightweight, easy to install. Perfect for what I wanted it for.
