This is a great tool to use if you fish in rivers and creeks. I tie it to my boat and if I am wanting to fish in an area that has brush or limbs , just mash the brush gripper like pliers, it will open its jaws and you simply clip it onto the brush or limb and it will hold your boat stationary. They are very strong and would hold a fairly large boat in a pretty swift current.

This works exactly as I'd hoped, strong enough for a good grip and hold. Used on branches up to about 1 1/2 inches in diameter with no issues. A cleat would be helpful to connect it to so you could adjust the length of the rope, but that's an easy add. Stores in the pocket on my Hobie.

Read the fine print, not the picture!!! Looks like you’re buying two for that price, but actually only one weak looking device. I’ll never buy from that seller again

We were fying paddling against the current and this saved us. We had a regular anchor that we tried first and it got stuck and we almost had to cut the rope. We switched to using this as an anchor, tied 2 boats together and it held us perfectly in place. I'm sure you also have to have ghe perfect branch to lock on to, but this was great!!! My paddle buddy was surprised and is planning to get one. Although the photo makes it appear that you're getting 2, you only receive 1. But still great
