Good quality overall but got a bad switch

I've used this 2 years and this spring the 'manual' side of the switch stopped working.The 'auto' side worked but it was only after dousing it with electronic contact cleaner and working it vigorously was I able to bring the manual side back to life.I store this boat under cover in the winter but spring and summer it's outside, I guess the switch doesn't like this.If you have a control panel that is exposed to the elements like mine is, spend more money on a device that is rated for water proofness.
