As a versatile, decorative and artistic style lamp, this is beautiful. And while reading previous reviews, I noticed alot of mention regarding glass colour imperfections. And well ok. There is some variation of colour. And perhaps a tiny glass dot or wave, or little dark spot. But it is glass! And glass is molten mixed and poured out either by hand or mold. And no 2 globes will be identical. That is what makes your piece different from mine. And dispite the lamps being intended to be consistent in general shape and style, it is supposed to provide an ambient room decor and lighting effect.My lamps arrived extremely well packaged for shipping. And there are no cracks or "serious " blemishes. In fact, I have to put my super sight glasses on, in order to see the beautiful, distinct features of the glass. And realize that it mimics the surface of the sun. With it's irregular colour and temperature. And it baths the room in a simulated sunset/rise glow.The lamp has a rocker switch for on/off, chrome touch plate in the center, and a functional remote for timer, dimming and colour variation. While the base is sure footed on a table top or on the wall, with low slip rubber bottom.The glass quality is superb! And though I respect others opinions, I also try to understand their knowledge and education of the things that the opinion is based. Including my own! As I have not been a glass blower. But I have seen it first hand. And I understand the principle. So that, in all due respect, if you don't like imperfections in your glass, or colour variation (in a difficult colour to reproduce consistently (it's not dark blue, black,) then maybe buy a plastic one. And really, I mean No disrespect to anybody! Some people have a higher standard for variation. And perhaps expect something different from what is expected. But for me, I love the variation and imperfections that may exist in these! Even if I can't find one yet!

La lampe est en verre. Elle est très belle. Trop chère cependant. Achetée parce que c'était un cadeau de Noël. La boîte à été endommagée dans le transport. Il faudrait un emballage plus robuste pour les objets fragiles. Heureusement, pas de bris.

Super poor quality glass full of discoloration and inconsistencies. The plastic white bad looks extremely cheap and it looks terrible on a table. If I hadn’t absentmindedly thrown out the packaging, this would have been an instant return. DO NOT PURCHASE if you have any hopes of your room not looking like a cheap urban outfitters catalogue or a trendy dorm room. It has none of the charm of the original all while costing more.The dimmer function is great, but the chrome button in the center doesn’t look great.

This lamp produces a colour that looks so much nicer in person! Some things to note however:- Mine did come with a blemish on the interior of the glass, probably from manufacturing. It’s noticeable once you know it’s there, and when the lamp is on.- The backing is a sort of thin foam glued to the plastic base, which may not be safe if you want to using command strips when mounting to a wall.
