They operate smoothly. A bit heavier than I thought, but can’t complain since they are made mostly of metal. I may have to scrap my idea for what I wanted to use it for. I will still try to make it work though.

Used these latches for an RV cabinet drawer. Seems very well made and works great.

Latches were of good quality fit perfectly in one inch hole. I used them on my Jon boat storage hatch looks great and easy to install and they’re all metal.

I didn't like the thumb latches on new Grand Design Transcend so I went with the slam latches. I took a picture of the before and after which in my opinion makes my rig look better. After I figured out where to place the bigger hole I used a scrap board on the back side clamped in place so the hole saw wouldn't wander around. I then used that same board as my template for the other three holes. Trick is to go through the door but not the board, you just need the center bit to make it's hole on the scrap board. Next the back ring needed some small tweaks due to the metal band around the door but that was easy. I followed up with silicon on the outside portion of the latch between the door and the latch. I used washers as spacers to help set the strike plate on all 4 sides just as I dropped the holes for the screws and tightened them. The washers were held in place by a set of vise grips. I only give these a 4 star because of the gaps in the lock itself that could allow rain in if you are driving or it comes from the side. I doubt it would be enough to cause issues but might add a PVC cap to completely cover the back side with some silicon.Sturdiness, Screws, fit, and value for money all 5/5Performance - 4/5 but with some extra work on my part I think I can reach a 5/5 I just shouldn't have to do that myself if the back plate was better designed.
