Easy to install. Really bright. Lights up the whole back yard. Don't need a flashlight to BBQ anymore.

Es una lampara que se siente de buena calidad y proporciona muy buena iluminación. Sirve mucho que tenga un rango de protección para exteriores elevado, puesto que muchas lamparas por ahí te dicen que son para exteriores, pero te piden las protejas del sol y lluvia directos. Esta no.

We had a double halogen light on our deck. It did a good job of lighting, but, at 1000 watts, was somewhat less than energy efficient. We were looking for a replacement and saw this on Amazon. It was far less expensive than others we looked at, so we gave it a try. It does a good job of illuminating our 40 x 12 foot deck. The adjustable side lights help to even out the light. We didn't need a motion sensor, so I can't speak to that. The design made installation easy, although working at the top of a 12 foot step ladder was a little exciting. A cross piece attaches to a standard electrical box. The wiring is color coded to match standard AC wiring. Once the wiring is hooked up a single center screw attaches the unit to the crosspiece. There is a gasket that seals the light housing to the electrical box, and a plastic trim cap to fit over the center screw. The center mounting screw keeps the gasket in place while mounting. All of the parts for installation are included, as well as three twist on wire connectors. No extra parts were needed. The housing is plastic and looks great. We are in New England, with snow and cold in the winter, and the fixture is on the west side of the house and is exposed to many hours of direct sun in the summer, so it remains to be seen how it will stand up to this harsh environment. That said, this was about a third of the cost of a standard fixture, and includes the lighting units, so, even if it has to be replaced down the line, it's still a good buy!
