My alternative title is buy cheap, buy twice. I tried to get it to do beyond its capacity. I tried to shear a 1/4" stainless bolt. Made a dent in it but that's all. Even then, I didn't find it comfortable or easy to put leverage on it. I'd say it's well suited for light duty work, likely aluminum or maybe mild steel small diameter. That said, quality is excellent. I'll keep it. Just remember to get the right tool for the right job. If you have any doubt at all, my advice is to go for something well over and above your intended application.

This product works for its attended purpose. A few days ago I lost my key to my bike lock. And these cable cutters cut the lock like it was paper. works great!!

Have always been wanting a heavy duty wire cutter to cut thick metal wire and this one seems pretty for my need. It's heavy duty but still affordable for home user like me that only need this occasionally. Tried on the wire that hold those law sign, works like charm.
