Bought these to slim down my recorded DVDs. Cases are fairly sturdy though you can break the center by accident if you are not paying attention. Better organization for the short term until replace most of my remaining recorded media with better copies.

I'm a little old-school, I guess. I like the movies I've made to be in boxes instead of a big case. These thinner boxes still hold 2 discs, and you can make a label for the front. But being slimmer, you can fit lots more on a shelf.Constructed well and should last a long time.

I am a longtime Maxtek customer: I have purchased their slimline single DVD cases in bulk previously, and returned to Maxtek to purchase slim double DVD cases. The cases are pretty consistent, and I find them to be a great value for archiving and creating in-home media products for friends and family (e.g. weddings, reunions, etc.). Labels slip inside the clear plastic sheath covering the black cases, as do most standard DVD boxes. My latest project requires 2 DVDs, and rather than buy 10 double disc boxes at my local brick-and-mortar, I ordered 50 Maxtek cases for roughly the same price - I should now be supplied for years. I am fairly careful with my cases, so I am not the greatest authority on Maxtek durability. I just know that friends are always blown away when I present them a DVD of their birthday party featuring a professional looking label set in a quality Maxtek box (and when they, inevitably, want extra copies of the DVD to send to distant relatives, I am rarely caught short of cases!)
