Hemos probado nuestras tuercas de bellota de estilo regular y protuberante contra cuatro competidores (A, B, C y D superior) en una cámara CASS (aerosol de sal acético acelerado de cobre). Esta prueba fue desarrollada por la American Electroplaters Society para medir la resistencia a la corrosión específica de los chapados de níquel-cromo. Implica someter partes chapadas a una solución de sal a una temperatura específica, presión y duración de tiempo para emular la exposición a los elementos.
Los fabricantes de automóviles utilizan pruebas aceleradas como esta para medir la calidad y el rendimiento. A 22 horas. El ciclo CASS se considera equivalente a un año de exposición en condiciones meteorológicas de Detroit. Antes de cada ciclo CASS de 22 horas, las tuercas se instalaron y retiraron utilizando una llave para simular el uso normal.

Very well made and solid chrome finish. Perfect fit on the studs but use caution not to get the wrong length like I did.

If you drive Chrysler or Jeep product and change your own tires then you know how much of a pain in the schvinkter those stupid lug nuts with the little caps are. They fall off and now you need an 18mm socket instead of a 3/4 inch.Replace them all with these. Solid metal, they look great and have held up well so far. No chipping or discoloration. You will need a 13/16 socket to change them but at least they’re all the same.

I purchased 4 sets to replace the factory lug nuts on a 2016 Ford Focus SE. The factory lugs are not solid and get damaged by careless impact wrench happy mechanics. McGard is a supplier to the OEMs so you can expect exceptional quality. I chose the 1.5 lugs and not the factory 1.25 to get more contact surface. I read some reviews indicating the nuts where rusty in the packaging. There is a brown residue in the packaging that would lead you to believe the lugs are rusty but they are not. I believe this is left over ferrous material from the manufacturing process of threading the lugs that rusts. The lugs are in perfect condition when you remove them from the packaging. The hex size is larger than stock (13/16 vs stock 3/4). I carry a breaker bar and six point 13/16 socket in the car. Very pleased with my purchase.
