I just purchased and set up the MSI Roamii BE Lite Mesh System and overall I am impressed with everything except the app. The coverage and speed for a dual band system is off the charts and it has the best upload speeds of any system I've ever had (and I've had multiple tri-band systems). The quality of the signal is strong throughout the house and everything works like a charm. Unfortunately the app is where things fall a bit short as setup to me was not as intuitive as it should've been and the app's user experience as a whole needs some love from MSI. Overall, this mesh WiFi system works really well and is one of the best deals for a WiFi 7 system out there but buyers should understand the app experience at this point isn't the best. 4 Stars.

I decided to give this system a try when it dropped to its lowest price during the Early Boxing Days deals, hoping to finally get rid of my rented WiFi pods.Unfortunately, the MSI Roamii Apple app was a disaster. It couldn't detect the mesh system, even after I manually connected to its network. The app simply refused to work. I ended up setting everything up manually, only to find the network performance was abysmal. I ran speed tests using the two most popular tools, and the best I could get was 110 Mbps down and 80 Mbps up, with latency spiking over 200 ms. And, yes, I installed the latest firmware version 723045.For context, I tested this on a Bell Canada Giga Hub with 1 Gig down and 750 Mbps up service. After disabling Bridge Mode and switching back to the rented pods, I was right back to getting close to the full 1 Gig down and 750 Mbps up.This system was nothing but a hassle and disappointment.

Initial Setup: Had to overcome several issues to even get the router to work. Making changes during the initial setup does not work and causes the App to fail.Advance Configuration: The App does not let the user make advanced changes. You must access the Web Based Configuration and even then there are very limited settings exposed to the user. For example, the 2.4 GHz can not be separated from the 5 GHz band. This means all wireless settings apply to both bands. Because the wireless settings apply to both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, it will not work with IoT devices or printers. Well it will, but you have to turn off all WiFi 7 features and some WiFi 6 features.Performance: Running the router as a WiFi 5 device allowed my printer and IoT device to connect. However, I experience frequent disconnects and overall very poor performance. Running a speed test resulted in pings of over 600+ ms and download speed of only 125 Mbps. My old WiFi 5 router provides pings of 4 ms and download speeds of 300+ Mbps.Overall: The concept is great and hopefully other companies will introduce lower cost WiFi 7 Mesh systems. However, the MSI Roamii suffers from poor firmware at this time. The product was announced a year ago and there have not been any firmware updates to fix its short comings.
