This is my first set of interchangeable needles. The surface of the needles proves for a very pleasant knitting experience. The cords do not come loose if you attach them correctly, which is very easy to do. I really like that I can use the cords to try on works in progress.

For the price it is crazy that there aren’t more cable lengths - 60cm being the smallest is crazy

Love knitting with this but found the needles to have a little more friction than metal ones. Cables given were 2 x 16”, 1 x 24” and 1 x 32” instead.

I knit a big swatch and love the coziness of these wood needles – I love how they feel in my hands; they are smooth and gorgeous, with a pointy tip that knits beautifully. Compared to other sets, this one comes at a good price point. But I'm a beginner knitter and, in my inexperience, thought this one would supply me with all of my BASIC knitting needs for making a sweater – i.e. all of what I need to knit the body, neckline, sleeves and cuffs. Alas, not. The cables in this set (cord with needles attached) are too long for the small circumference of a neckline (and will be too long for knitting sleeves and cuffs). It appears a 16 inch (or shorter) length (from needle tip to needle tip) is required for small circumferences, and after having spent a heart-pinching $88 I now have to buy additional needles of appropriate length to be able to start my project.Seems it is possible to use one of the longer (32”) cables for magic loop knitting (apparently good for small rounds) -- and I am stuck having to learn it and not happy about it.This is not news to experienced knitters, I’m sure, but if you are a new knitter like me here is some useful information : you have to buy short tips and corresponding short cord for a 16 “ cable length. There is a Knit Picks SHORT interchangeable circular needles set (and this one will set you back another $75). In all fairness I have to say this is true of any brand. Knitting ain't cheap!
