These are lightweight - same design as described. Easy to install. The adhesive has come loose and I have woken with one falling on my head but comes with replaceable adhesive. No funny smell. Would recommend other than still being able to hear my neighbor all night across the street.

I was mildly disappointed when I first opened the box and saw that the vividness and the deep black levels were not as shown in the listing pictures, but, the toned-down colors still give it a dream-like quality that works well in an abstract piece such as this, so it’s a forgivable offense. However, seller, if you are reading this, please don’t tweak the pictures and just show exactly what you are selling. That aside, this was exactly the eclectic style of artwork I wanted for my home office and I’m very happy with the appearance and quality of these panels. The stated size is 12 x 16, but they are actually a bit smaller at 11-7/8 x 15-3/4. Not a real big deal, but I just wanted to note that for those who like dealing with exact numbers like I do. I did not buy these for any sound absorption qualities they may or may not possess, it was just for the appearance. I did see some mention of the adhesive dots not sticking well, but I had no such problem. In fact, I had to remove and reset the first panel because it was up a little higher than I intended, and it took a large putty knife and a bit of force to pry it off the wall. Spacing or not spacing the panels is a personal preference, but I decided to go with spaces because it creates the illusion of viewing the scene through the muntins of a window, which I think is kind of cool. For those who want to space their panels, the super easy way to a flawless installation is to make a perfectly square T-shape tool out of wood with the desired spacing thickness (I made mine from some MDF scraps at 1/2-inch thickness). It doesn’t matter which panel you start the installation with as long as it is set level, then it's just a simple matter of using the tool to mount the other panels. It was a rapid-fire install after I mounted my first panel, and I actually spent more time removing the fiddly backing from the adhesive dots than anything else.

I used a personal method in putting these up, so they would fit perfectly. I was hoping they would work in reducing noise, but there was no change. Fortunately, it's beautiful art.

We have this installed in our media room to help with some noise reduction and while it does help with eliminating some noise the colors are not as vibrant and more on the dull side. I would have personally liked the colors to be somewhat close to the product picture but unfortunately that was not the case.Overall, if you are buying this specific one for the looks please be advised that colors are not the same and appear very dull in reality. Apart from that, it does help with sound proofing but for us not having the colors we wanted is a big negative as we looked at this specific one to ensure it goes with our existing home décor.

I purchased this mainly because I wanted to add some additional acoustic treatment to my studio while simultaneously adding vibrant color and inspiration, these panels don't even come close. I am appalled at the quality considering the price of these panels. First, and most upsetting, is the quality of the art print itself. The photos on the product listing show a beautiful vibrant image, the panels that I received are incredibly dark and DULL, almost looks like your favorite sweater that has been washed a few hundred times so now looks like a lifeless remnant of itself, that is what these panels look like. They have an almost felt like texture on the front (where the image is) and that material frays very easily and exposes the white backing in several small spots which is very distracting and makes the already low quality print that much more disappointing. Pair that with how incredibly thin and flimsy these panels are, they are essentially useless. They were meant to serve two purpose, 1st, to provide acoustic treatment, which given the above details they most certainly will not, and 2nd, to be aesthetically pleasing, which they most certainly are NOT.Save your money, don't waste over $60 with tax like I did, you'll very likely be greatly disappointed.
