Works really well but the griddle side does not have a place where the grease and liquids can go. I did know that when I purchased it but overall it works. I have not tried the other side yet. Heavy duty cast iron no problems with cooking on it. Cleaned up pretty well except in the front it has a dark spot where the griddle got the hottest and the food seems to have left a spot.Overall I would recommend it!

Definitely pleased and surprised by the quality of this flat griddle! Steaks,burgers,asparagus, all have cooked perfectly. Last night,I made bacon wrapped beef tenderloin and it was amazing. Clean with hot water and chain mail and oil lightly with beef tallow or other high temp conditioner and this will last forever. Don't use soap or other harsh detergents, or your grandma will haunt you. The higher the temp, the better the sear. I did season myself in a 400 degree oven,but that's up to you. I also place it directly over the gas,not the grill grates. Love this thing next to a Blackstone.

I always season my own griddles, but was kind of unsure about this one. However, just learning pellet grilling, I realized that I needed to learn more. My wife and daughter bought me a combo pellet and gas grill. My test came when I wanted to reverse sear a piece of Picanha that I had bought. I set the pellet side to 225 to get the meat to 125 degrees. As it was nearing the target temp on the meat, I fired up the gas side of the grill with this griddle inside (flat side up). I waited until the gas side hit 550 degrees and gently laid the Picanha into the griddle (which was reading close to 700 degrees itself). The result after 2 minutes per side was the most beautiful sear I’ve ever seen! This griddle really came through in the clutch! The heat was evenly distributed in the griddle surface, and it was a perfect fit for my combo grill, for either side (although I’m sure it will remain on the propane side). It gives me the confidence to try a brisket next. Reverse sear works great with this griddle!
