My cats love this. It is much more rugged than it appears. The cats can't walk by it without scratching watching it. I have one cat that is very strong and rugged. She puts her whole weight into scratching the post and the post is showing no wear and tear.

So I had this and installed it, maybe up for a week, at no point did my cats display interest in it. Now this is not to say there is any issue with the item itself, it felt very sturdy, the materials were high quality and it came together in less than half an hour including mounting to the wall. The posts seem very high quality and for the price I was very pleased with what i got. My cat seems to only understand scratching posts when they are part of a larger cat tree and I was just hoping to save space. I ended up returning them due to them obviously going unused. I'm sure they would have been wonderfully functional but we all know how picky our fur children can be. If your cat loves a freestanding scratcher, can't suggest this one enough. It was so sturdy and felt like it would last for years to come, assuming they didn't scratch it to death first

Mi gato lo utiliza para rascar y trepar por él como parte de un circuito que le hicimos. Se ve bastante estético por lo que queda perfecto en la sala ¡Súper recomendable!

Cats love it but it is shredded quickly. This is the second time I’ve purchased this but am looking into a longer lasting solution.

Lo instalé 30 centímetros por arriba del piso, en vertical, pues mis gatos aman estirarse y afilarse las uñas en la pared. Fue una gran compra. Ahora rascan aquí, y recomiendo ponerlas un poco más alto de lo que se levantan en dos patas, pues les gusta treparlo

For under twenty five bucks, this is a solid deal. Yes, the rope is really small diameter, but at this price, that is expected. I like the fact that it is pretty tall AND you can mount it off the floor. So it's easy to provide a scratching area high enough for a large, full-grown cat. The wall mount is nice so that it is out of the way and doesn't tip over BUT it means you can't move it in front of a place where you don't want cats to scratch to break bad habits (I used to move a floor-mounted scratching post in front of the corner of the couch or easy chair when they started scratching those, which I can't do with this). So you might want to consider this is as part of a more complete scratching solution.
