A name brand tool is probably the way to go.I bought this set to save a female abs coupler, I drilled out the coupler to remove the pipe and this bit cut larger than the pipe it was removing. its Probably 1/8" too big. Which makes the pipe fit too loosely. I had to use additional glue and kinda pack the opening. I have use the same style cutter and size of a diffrent brand and I have never had this issue before. I might cut them down on a lathe so the fit properly.I don't feel comfortable with my repair. And I told my customer I'm not comfortable with it. So I'm on call for when it fails and I'll have to fix it on my own time and money.

Great and easy way to make nice straight cuts on pvc pipe. Easy to set up and use. Nice size selection. Made of quality steel for many cuts. The guide allows a perfect cut every time.

I work in a plumbing shop on a contract job type situation. Speed and time are important and sometimes when we need a repairr done it has to be fast and we need the socket back....so these do the job well enough to save time and money. Good build quality. Easy to use. The sizes needed. Yes these will do the job.
