Adding these, along with bass blockers, made the biggest difference in sound quality I’ve ever experienced. Words can’t express how good these really are.

I used these in an old Corvette that had aftermarket speakers mounted in the doors. The brow seals/outside window wipes on this car do a pretty lousy job of keeping the rain out of the inside of the door, which resulted in damage to the old speakers. These have worked well to protect the new speakers from the water intrusion. Sound quality may have improved somewhat, but with my military grade tinnitus I'm not quite the audiophile I once was. My primary objective was to try to extend the life of the door speakers and so far it seems these have helped with that.

I have been working with car audio since the 90's. I can tell you that these are very nice baffles that are well designed and quality material. These are vastly superior to the closed back foam ones you have probably also seen. As is true for literally every product of this type, some modification may be necessary for your particular application. Every door panel and speaker is different and there is no such thing as a one size fits all, because of this. Don't blame this product if you failed to consider all the factors and approached the situation with unrealistic expectations. Get creative and problem solve. I have not met an appropriate application that I could not make this work in.

Now I'm no sound engineer, but this improved the sound of my small 5.25 inch front door speakers. It's hard to get low mods and any bass out of small speaker. These helped with that without having to sound proof and box the entire door in. Should help with the longevity of speakers too by keeping water off that gets inside the door. I got two sets of these because they don't make 4 inch versions of them. I cut the 5.25 inch ones and made them fit the 4 inch speakers. Hardest part was getting the silicone to stay together. I had to use a special silicone adhesive and it was a pain. It's doable though if you want to make these fit smaller speakers!

They had to be cut all the way to the top to fit speaker wire. Terrible design.
