How many spares are enough? Probably depends on how hard you use your tools, how many tools you have to keep track of and how well organized you are...then me, who walks around searching, saying to myself " I laid that darn thing here just now...where the heck did it go?".Collets and other regularly used parts are frequently misplaced (and sometimes more often than that). A famous shop lament is : Where is that stupid thing? It was right here on the shelf (or, in the drawer) this morning, or five minutes ago, or....So, I got these for the day I need them, and I sure hope I can find them on that day. They are well made backups for the regular DeWalt collets that came with my router. They fit fine and seem as strong as the originals.

Perfect for my DW616 Router. minimal runout, holds 1/2" shank router bits just fine. I use these for the spoil board surfacing bits and these work really well.

I don’t think it is the rigth nut because it doesn’t screw all the way down on the router colet, me I have to use different size of wrench to tighten .
