I don't know what the point of this seal is? it is not an official seal and matches none of what is on the car. I applied it as per advertised, provides no protection or additional seal.

I bought this thinking it would solve my flood in the floorboard of my 2005 Jeep TJ/LJ after it rains. I really didn't pay attention to the details of the add but this is for sure not the piece that squeezes onto the channel and touches the back lift glass when you close it. It is just a generic stick on piece. After a few tech posts and then finding what I needed and reading the reviews I believe I have found the culprit. It was the hinges on the that hard top itself. They are roughly 20 bucks everywhere and after the install my back window touches the gasket all the way around. The picture is before I changed the hinges. You can probably make out the window is raised up off of the back a little. The replacement hinges are straight not bent and the window should sit down into the recessed area. Not even sure why they bent but they for sure had a curve to them.

Product did not come with peel-off backing to preserve the adhesive side. Basically rolled up to make fit in a ziplock bag. Adhesive side was stuck together and when I tried to unroll it, it ended up pulling the product apart and the part that wasn’t damaged would not stick to the glass because all of the adhesive layer was stuck together. Glad I didn’t spend a lot for this. Waste of $15.

I needed to replace the rubber seal for my 2009 jeep wrangler and it worked perfectly.
