Trying to use these mounts for Definitive Technology ProMonitor 1000's each are slightly under the 8 lb. rating of these mounts. However, the fact that these mounts are plastic they have a tendency to break. I personally do not recommend these unless you are using a very light weight speaker or want to spend money on possibly buying an extra set just in case.

This product appears to be old & exposed to sunlight over an extended period which has caused it to change to a yellowish color.

Purchased these at the same time as a set of 5 silver different brand. For some reason I must have miss read the description, I was thinking it was a set of 5 like the other purhcase just for half price? But it wasn't they item was nice has some good features nothing special though. price isn't that great compared to my other purchase. But they worked for the living room and alls good.

The last time I purchased a set of these (different brand), I felt like I paid TOO much for two pieces of plastics sticks - like $50 or so. I wanted cheap. I bought these. They do the trick. One reviewer complained that they sagged often - however, you can easily tighten the joint/elbow to fix that.
