This is a great tool. I appreciate that it can be twisted up into the storage bag so that it is easy to store when not in use. It's also nice that it comes with a second, smaller panel too! It is very sturdy, all of the sequins are strongly secured but also still flip smoothly.

The sequin fabric sensory wall works but doesn't feel as smooth as some others that my daughter already owns. The material can be rough on sensitive skin and hands after swiping it a few times. Sometimes it takes a few swipes to get all of the tiny reflectors to flip over. The shapes require some effort to get the edges right. It took me a little time to get the heart shape right and it was impossible to get the bear or some of the more technical shapes to be perfect. The fabric is nice and large measuring about 39" x 26" and I might attach it to my hallway wall so it's available to touch at all times of the day or night. It opens up like a photography lighting reflector having a wire inside the outside rim of the mat. The travel case measures about 17 inches and holds two sequin mats and six stencil shapes. The smaller travel sequin fabric measures 11 inches. The whole set weighs about 1.1 pounds. Overall, the material is not soft enough to touch frequently but works well touching moderately for my sensitive skin hands. I'll probably use the stencil shapes for random art projects as they don't work well with the fabric without effort.

My 9-year-old son likes this set of Special Supplies sequin mats. The big one is his favorite, but I like that there is a smaller one that he can use while doing desk work. He has been using the mats a little every day since he got them. He enjoys being creative, and the sensory experience also seems calming for him. The colors are fun and bright and look iridescent when the light hits them the right way.He has no problem flipping the sequins to make his own designs. Everything seems sewn well and is in working order. All the sequins might not flip perfectly the first time, but we've had the same experience with sequin shirts and pillows. This does take a little extra work if you care to get everything flipped perfectly.I like that a storage bag is included, although the large mat is a bit tricky to fold up. The included stencils are not very thick, so I don't think they are very durable. They are still nice to have. Overall, I'm happy with this and recommend it.

As someone who loves finding new sensory activities to keep my energetic kids engaged, I had high hopes for this sequined panel. It certainly has its pros – the vibrant rainbow sequins and the inclusion of both a large mat and a smaller lap version seemed promising, and I appreciated the storage bag for easy clean-up. However, while the concept is great, the execution falls short.The sequins aren't as responsive as one would hope; not every sequin flips smoothly, which can be frustrating for a child seeking that satisfying tactile experience. This issue also prevents kids from fully enjoying the creative templates included. The wire edging, meant to keep the fabric taut, doesn't feel particularly sturdy or well-suited for daily use, and I think a weighted edge as seen on other sensory items might have been better.I found myself wishing the quality matched the clever idea behind the product, but unfortunately, it's underwhelming. For those looking for sensory play items, you might be better served with a higher quality color-changing sequined pillow that delivers on the sensory experience it promises.

Not all the sequins turn with a swipe of the hand.* The set arrives with the wired fabric pieces in the bag, but with no instructions on how to *return* them to the bag when finished with them.* Some of the sequins get stuck and refuse to turn at all, making the entire thing look like a screen with missing pixels.I'm not convinced that the wire edging was a good idea. A cheap solution, surely. But not a very useful one. A weighted bias tape edging would have been much more useful and practical for daily use. I was also extremely disappointed in the quality of this product. I expected sequins the quality of the fabric available in retain stores, and this is beyond cheap. The set comes with some thin card stencils that don't work because all the sequins don't turn when they are swiped. See photos for examples.Suggestion: buy your kid a decent quality color changing pillow instead of this product.
