The drill head constantly snaps off while drilling into aluminum. I originally gave this a 1 star but if you are willing to predrill into all your material before you use the self drilling screws, they will work. I actually ended up reordering them because I was having trouble finding a countersunk self drilling in 2" and 3" lengths. The predrilling is manageable but pretty annoying.

The screws have a good quality, I find that if you give full throttle on the drill you won't have any snapping( I did square tubing 1/4" Thick wall and not issues, only two broke because not enough juice left on the battery) also is good to mention that I pre-drilled the holes an extra millimeter or two larger than what the tip of the screw is and that helped a lot, the down part for me I think is that they are not enough screws in the package 100 pcs are not sufficient for 4X8' Trailer and now I have to purchase another package when I only need 10pcs to finish my trailer.I hope this can help some body, Cheers.

I use a ton of these style screws and was quite compelled to write a review and offer a few suggestions. I have to say for this style of screw in stainless these are nothing short of amazing. Anyone who has used SS self taps is well aware of their one major drawback which is not actual head stripping but actual snapping. SS is tough and weather resistant but can’t be hardened or heat treated so you are at the mercy of the relative sheer strength inherent in the materials they choose to manufacture from and let me tell you I snapped tips before I snapped and of the damn screws and that I have never seen in SS. As for head stripping I buy the USA made Phillip’s tips in the 100 pack from Amazon and I set about 50 to 75 screws and TOSS the tip...they dull and round rather quickly in modern high power impact guns. So that is the major thing to not stripping heads and if I have a tough one I will drive for a bit and then back off and drive the rest with some momentum and it was always there with other screws I blew the actual head off the screw and again I broke 2 Phillip’s tips this week and not 1 screw which I have never had happen! Replace the Phillip’s tips as a routine. Great Quality Screws!

Works as described. Good drilling for a stainless. No heads have snapped. If you use stainless self tappers, you know what I'm talking about. These work.
