This solved the loose steam knob problem on my 15 year old Sylvia V2. The new knob pressed on tight and stays put.

I have an older silva (perhaps a model one) and took off the non-branded one that was on and put this on and now it really looks like a great machine.

Upgrade for an older silvia. Way nicer feel than the original when steaming - larger, so it fits the hand better and takes less force at the start of the turn. Easier to clean as well (no deep ridges).Install was easy, tho I did unscrew the top casing and use a slot screwdriver to gently cam/ease the neck of the old knob off rather than just force-pull it out the front like some people are doing.Spruces up the machine too.
