Easy to use and very reliable product. Used it several times during a road trip to secure my race paddleboard. The straps are long and the locking system works well! Would definitely recommend

Easy to use. I used this to secure my paddle board on the roof of my car as well as to securely store it on a kayak holder in the storage room where I live. The straps are durable. The reasons I am giving it a 4 and not a 5 is b/c the plastic cover fell off the first time I used the straps. Fortunately it did not break in its fall on the cement ground and I was able to reattach it. The position of the key insert has to be perfectly straight on otherwise I cannot insert the key. Can be awkward if I have not positioned the lock in a position where I cannot reach it and aim the key vertically perfectly. For a tall person no problem, I am 5 ' 1 ". The strap itself is thick; pro - durable and safe. con - not as easy to throw over the top of my car as a thinner flexible strap. (Remember I am short ), but it is doable, so not a reason not to buy the strap.

Well built but hard to manage any leftover strapping because of its core. Both the 10 ‘& 12’ were too long to manage. Ended up returning both sizes for normal Thule 9’ straps and added my own MacGyver lock system.

Work well for it's intended use. Cable in the strap is a bit small and could most luckily be cut still but a good deterrents.

I have a Thule rack and many Thule accessories including an old Adventurer Cargo box. I had no key insert for the box, which is no longer supported, but we had a transamerica road trip planned and felt we needed some extra security as we journeyed into the exotic hinterland of the continent! Thule couldn't supply barrels fir the adventurer so we opted for the lockable straps. They worked as advertised, went through sandstorms, hail, some snow, plenty of rain and three weeks of motoring without any sign of wear and tear. My only recommendation is that Thule introduce combination locks for this, and their other, locks. The keys are just too easy to misplace!
